SALMIAK is a duo of visual artists consisting of Marije Seijn and Annie van Noortwijk. Rooted in a passion for storytelling, their work transcends conventional boundaries and is characterized by a fluid cross-pollination of analog and digital techniques. SALMIAK's hallmark lies in their experimental ethos, exploring diverse avenues to bring their film and photography work to life. By crafting with color, texture and composition they create imagery that is both intimate and experimental. Whether directing or wielding the camera themselves, central to SALMIAK's approach is their hands-on involvement in every stage of production. This holistic approach extends to their in-house post-production efforts, where they seamlessly integrate editing, color grading, and sound design to enhance the storytelling experience.
